Some useful JavaScript libraries

Most of us web and full-stack geeks have used jQuery by now, the more UI/UX focused among us have experience with Angular and the like, and the more back-end types may have gravitated to Node.js. What about the rest of the JavaScript universe? There are many smaller libraries that can be incredibly useful. This is a list of my current favorites, which will grow over time.

1. Zepto.js

Zepto is a lightweight alternative to jQuery that provides a good deal of core jQuery functionality with a near-duplicate API. It even adds the shorthand $ to itself, but only if jQuery hasn’t previously done so. There’s nothing not to like about this well-constructed little library, which predictably is also loadable via a free CDN.
